Today- (7/10/14) is Lilly's (my ferrets) 5th birthday. I can't believe I have owned a beautiful, cute and amazing animal for 5 years. I got Lilly in 2009 when she was around 7-8 weeks old.
We started the day by (lots of) playing, I made her a cardboard fort with tubes. I bought her two cute toys and made her salmon treats!

Meg
On the 6th of September, my old cat, Meg had her second year anniversary. Sadly, Meg was only six years old when she went to the other side of rainbow. For most of her life, she would vomit (almost) every time she ate and it gradually got worst to the point where one day she vomited blood. We had taken her to the vet many times with her frequent vomiting but they didn't do anything, but when we took her to the vet about the frank blood, he said it might be a stomach ulcer and gave us tablets for her. A few months later, she was getting weaker and weaker and one day she couldn't get up. She was starting to smell and her breathing was uneasy. It was really hard to watch her this way and it was almost a crime to keep her suffering. We took her to the vet that evening where she got put down. She was most likely suffering from a stomach ulcer or cancer that sadly took her away. :(

RIP Pondie :(
Sadly, yesterday (2/8/14) Pondie passed away. He had to be put down a few days after his operation to remove a cyst from his face. The vet said he got a blood clot from not moving around too much after his operation. He was slowly deteriorating, he was supposed to be released from the vet clinic on Saturday but he wasn't well :(

Animal Fun- Making Treats!
Ferret treats-
Ingredients-
-Egg
-Baby food- (I used banana and chicken)
Steps-
Mix ingredients, crack one egg and add a little less then a table spoon of the banana baby food. Whisk it together and fry the mixture on a frying pan until solid. Serve the 'omelet' with chicken baby food on top.
Cat treats-
Ingredients-
-100ml cornmeal
-50ml plain flour
-100ml water
-5ml oil
-pinch of salt
-Can of tuna
Flour and water may depend on consistency of dough
Method-
Mix all the ingredients together, if needed, add water if dry or flour if too watery. Mix and knead until dough like consistency. Preheat oven at 180 degrees Celsius. Roll out the dough and cut shapes from it. Lay on a baking tray lined with baking paper (or aluminum foil)
IMPORTANT NOTE- Do not give to pets often and limit amount of flour you mix in the dough! Too much is bad!

Jinny part 6
Yay! Jinny couldn’t wait until they could
be together again. Time to get back to
work, Jinny said quietly to herself.
Ding! Ding! Ding! The school bell sung after a long day
of learning and studying. “Move out of the way, Virginia!” Sophie- Jinny’s
enemy- had emphasised the word Virginia. Jinny just glared at her. The first
week back at school after the summer holidays was horrible, especially without
Phoebe. Those five days were filled with name calling, teasing and pushing.
Jinny hated school but had always looked forward to coming home to see her
horses again.
When she came home, she had a sudden burst of excitement. “Phoebe
is coming back tomorrow!” exclaimed Jinny but soon after realised that her
parents were still at work. Her dad was at the clinic treating animals while
her mum was probably working with some rescue horses from RSPCA. “At least I
have the whole house to herself” Jinny said out loud to herself. Soon after she
entered her room, her phone buzzed. It was Phoebe. “Hey, what’s up?” Jinny
asked “Jinny, this is an emergency! We came home earlier today because my
parent’s friend, who is looking after the horses, said that one of the horses
are missing” Phoebe said out of breath “Do you want me to come down to your
farm?” “Yes, and bring Luna, we found hoof prints in the dirt down at the
bottom paddock where the trail starts, please come quick” Phoebe pleaded “Which
horse is it?” Jinny realised that Phoebe didn’t tell her what horse it was at
the beginning “Felix”
I hope you enjoyed this weeks part, please do not take this story,

Jinny part 5!
Jinny groaned when she got out of the bed that morning at six
o’clock, it was the last day of school holidays. One more day of freedom, Jinny
thought to herself. She slipped out of bed, pulled on her jodhpurs and picked
up her thick jacket. It was time to greet Storm again, ride Pondie and Luna and
begin her chores.
“Breakfast is ready” yelled Jinny’s mum after she had gone up
to her room to get her phone. “Coming!” Jinny yelled back. She had already
finished riding Luna and Pond and was ready to start her chores.
Hi, Phoebe, how is
Queensland? Sorry that I haven’t talked to u in a while after Storm died, my
mum passed it onto your mum to tell you. Anyway, when r u coming back?
See ya!
Phoebe was Jinny’s one and only friend, in fact, they were
best friends. They would always ride together until Phoebe had to go to
Queensland for a few months because of her mother’s job.
Once Jinny had finished her breakfast, she skipped to the
stable, off to the tack room.
Ding! Jinny’s phone rang.
Hi Jin, I’m glad to
hear back from u! I can’t wait to come home and see Felix and Brambles! Oh, and
I’m coming back on Sat next week
Yay! Jinny couldn’t wait until they could
rise together again. Time to get back to
work, Jinny said quietly to herself.

Sloth
The sloth is known for being extremely slow and lazy and somewhat smelly. I have always being fascinated by this brilliant animal (so cute!)
#1- They only need the toilet once a week and that's the only time they get off their tree!
#2- On ground they can go as fast (or should I say as slow) as 2 meters per hour!
#3- To protect themselves, they will bite and slash with their long toes.
#4- Algae grows on sloths fur, giving them more camouflage, they are also the only mammal with 'artificial' green on them.
#5- Three-toed sloths a slowly becoming extinct due to humans taking over their habitat.

Jinny part 4
After about
an hour of doing twenty meter circles, leg yielding, reining back and
cantering, Jinny was satisfied with the progress she had made with Pondie in
their dressage training and she started to cool her horse down. Suddenly she
heard the door slam and her mother’s figure walked out the door. “I’m glad you’re
back in the saddle” Jinny walked Pondie over to the gate and her mother stretched
out her hand to pat Pondie’s sleek chestnut nose. “Pond and Luna missed being ridden so I got
over myself and” Jinny paused as she thought what to say next. “I decided to
ride” her mother nodded and said “Well, now that you’re on holidays you can
ride for as long and as much as you want” Jinny smiled “I’m happy that you’re
feeling better” Then she walked away.
Once Pondie
was cooled down and untacked, she turned him out in the paddock and went back
to her house to have her breakfast. Her mother was making everyone breakfast!
Eggs sizzled on the frying pan and the water boiled. Jinny licked her lips and
her tummy rumbled from hunger, she was ready to devour her food.
Once again,
Jinny was back in the stables, this time she was tacking Luna up. Every day,
before Storm passed away, she would go down to the stables in the early
morning, ride one horse then have her breakfast and before it was lunch, she
would have ridden the other two. She would have a little spare time now since
she only had two horses but at least she could concentrate on them more.
Once Jinny
had ridden Luna, she turned her out in the same paddock as Pondie was in. After
she had done that, she went to the tack room and grabbed a bottle of leather
soap and a cloth. She had a roster of things she had to do around the horses
and stables almost every day and once a month she would have to polish all the
tack that her family owned.
Finally she
had finished and her arms were sore. She flopped back on the chair she was
sitting on not feeling like moving another muscle, but of course, she had to do
the rest of her chore. She looked up on the list of things to do.
1-
Clean all the tack
2-
Muck out all the stables
3-
Lunge Bilby
4-
Feed all horses apart from Lilac and
Spark.
5-
Put hay bags in the empty stables
6-
Turn out the rest of the horses in
the stable overnight (and rug them)
7-
Put all the horses in the upper
paddock in the stables
8-
Rug horses in paddocks
Jinny sighed at the list, she usually enjoyed doing her
chores but she wasn’t feeling up to it. With the marker next to the list, she
crossed out the first chore. “Muck out all the stables” Jinny said out loud. “That’s
a lot of stables to muck out Jinny” an unusual voice said. Jinny peered around
the corner of the tack room. It was Tim, the farrier. “Hi, Tim, who are you
shoeing today?” Jinny asked “Rodger and Storm” Jinny gulped at the sound of
Storms name. “Umm. I thought mum cancelled Storm’s appointment, didn’t you
hear, Storm got put down” Tim paused to think of the right thing to say “Oh
dear, I’m so sorry” “It’s fine” Jinny faintly smiled “Oh, Rodger is in the paddock,
do you want me to get him?” “Yeah, that’d be great, I’ll set up in the meantime”
Jinny nodded and started to walk-jog her way to Rodger’s paddock. Great, another job to add to my list, Jinny
thought.
By the time she got Rodger in the stable, Tim was already set
up, his file, stand, rasp and all his other farrier equipment were waiting for
Rodger. Jinny handed Rodger over to Tim and straight away he began. Once Rodger
was already in his new shoes, Jinny had finished mucking out the last stall.

Marmot
Marmot
Marmot's are like large squirrels, they are covered with thick dark brown fur to protect them against cold.
#1- They can live for 6-10 years, depending on if they live in captivity.
#2- Marmots live in grasslands and forests, where there is good soil to build burrows in.
#3- Marmots are herbivores meaning that their diet only consists of plants like grasses and flowers.
#4- They communicate with each other by 'whistling'
#5- The Hoary Marmot can be 62-82 cm long.

Jinny part 3
The week
after Storm’s death went by slowly and painfully. Every night since the day,
Jinny had being crying herself to sleep. Storm was her first horse and after
six long years of gaining each other’s trust, their bond was unbreakable, they
didn’t start off very well together when Jinny first rescued her, even though
her parents kept on saying to sell her on, Jinny always knew that there was a
second chance in every horse, despite the countless times Storm had hurt Jinny,
she wouldn’t give up. Jinny had nightmares and often found herself waking up to
the slightest nicker that sounded like Storms and that soon became her obsession.
Every day, from her peripheral vision she would see dark shadows, she would
hear Storm’s neighing and nickering and worst of all she kept on hearing Storm’s
quick and shallow breaths when she was lying in the stable and picturing her
last moments- her chest going up and down with every breath until she was gone.
It had being a month since Storm had died and she hadn’t
ridden since, she wasn’t planning to any time soon, at least not onto her
favourite trail. That would always
remain a sacred place to Storm and her. The only exercise Luna and Pondie got
was being lunged, as always she would rely on her horses to comfort her but she
just couldn’t hug another horse without thinking of Storm. It had being her
fault for riding there that morning. It had being her fault for not letting
Storm rest while she called her parents for help. She was blaming everything on
herself. School for Jinny hadn’t being going too well either. She found it
harder to concentrate.
That morning marked exactly one month since Storm died and
Jinny made her way up to Storms paddock, where she had been buried. She sat
cross-legged on the cold, wet grass. She had come to her paddock at 6:00 AM,
the same time she left for the ride. 5 minutes passed, then 10 and before Jinny
knew it, she had being daydreaming for half an hour. It was around at 6:45 that
Storm would get bitten by the snake. “I’m sorry Stormy, I hope your happy now”
The sun was now fully up and it was drying up the wet grass. Jinny inhaled
deeply as tears started to pour down her face. “Let’s say” she paused as she
bit her lip to not cry hysterically. “Let’s say that every morning, at 6ish we
will be with each other, like we were last month” Jinny looked up at the sky,
her eyes rimmed with tears, clouds were beginning to form. Suddenly she felt
peace and didn’t feel like crying anymore. She felt a presence behind her and
as if someone got into her mind and told her to get up, and she did, she went
to see Pondie and Luna. When Jinny brought over Pondie’s tack, he looked at her
as if he didn’t know what she was carrying, it was some time Jinny hadn’t
ridden him. When she opened his stall, she rubbed his beautiful head and tied
him up. All tacked up she mounted. “I should be saying sorry to you guys now, I
haven’t ridden you in so long!”
Sorry this part didn't come out last week but I was SUPER busy (lol)

Chameleon
Chameleon
Chameleons are known for their amazing colour-changing skills, most can but people also think they change colour to blend in with their surroundings but that is not true, they can change colour to communicate and to show their emotions.
#1- Chameleons can be as small as your thumb fingernail.
#2- Chameleons are omnivores meaning they eat both plants and insects.
#3- Their tongues are very long enabling them to catch prey from further away.
#4- Chameleons habitat is mostly rain forests in Madagascar and Madagascar islands.
#5- The chameleons biggest threat are humans who destruct their habitat.

Tiger
Tiger
The tiger is the largest species of big cats. Unfortunately, they are endangered due to excessive amounts f hunting. They have a beautiful reddish orange coat with black stripes. Their under side and insides of their legs can be white.
The tiger can be 2 meters long (with a 1 meter long tail) and weigh up to 363 kg!
Tigers usually hunt alone, their diet depends on what breed they are and where they live but for example, the Bengal tiger will eat prey like deer and wild boar.
#1- There have being 4 species of tigers that have become extinct and 5 still remain.
#2- To kill prey, the tiger will bite the animals throat and not let go and if it is a smaller animal it will break it's neck.
#3- It may take more then one day for a tiger to eat it's kill, so it will cover it with dirt and leaves and will come back to finish it.
#4- Tigers love to swim, unlike other members of the cat family.
#5- Tigers have being over-hunted leading to being endangered and extinct. People would hunt them for their fur and bones, sometimes to use in traditional medicines, another reason is that people take up their habitat turning it into cities and other civilized buildings.

It's getting colder and colder! Why?! I have to electric heater on in the mornings (and I sit next to it) and Lilly often curls up in my jacket or shirt to enjoy the warm air, my old cat Meg, LOVED the heater, when ever it was on she would come running over and sit in front of the heater, it's like it summoned her. :)

Jinny Part 3
Jinny was crying, unable to process what had happened, it
was too shocking. She sat next to Storm’s head stroking her smooth dark coat.
The vet was already on his way, he didn’t live too far away but in this case,
time mattered, there wasn’t enough time. Storm had already collapsed and she
was trembling. Jinny’s dad was waiting outside the stable for the vet. Finally
he had come and was already squatting next to Storm. Over the phone, Jinny’s
mum had told him that it was a brown snake, that’s what Jinny thought she saw.
Dr Alfred, their vet, had brought out a syringe, he applied the needle top to
it and filled it with liquid. “I’m just going to give her some anti-venom” He
spoke as he slid the needle into Storm’s skin. “She is in a pretty bad state,
if you waited a little longer she would have being gone, but I don’t know how
far the venom has travelled already, it might already be too late” Jinny gasped
as her heart sank deeper, her chest was tight and she found it hard to swallow.
What if she was going to lose Storm? It would all be her fault for bringing her
for a trail ride and letting her get bitten. “All we can do know is wait and
see, her kidneys might be clotted and she could die of kidney failure”
Storm was getting worse by the minute, she was tense and she
was shaking. Jinny heard her parents and Dr Alfred discussing something. “Jinny”
her mother said “Get some rest in your room” Jinny looked up at her mum “Why?
It’s not even afternoon? Are you going to put her down?” Her mother looked back
at her father “Just go” Jinny started to cry even more and grasped onto Storms
neck not willing to let go “I’m sorry, my Stormy, don’t give up” Storm snorted.
“Is she going to die, John?” “She is suffering, it’s inhumane to keep an animal
alive in such bad health, it’s good for her” Jinny buried her face in Storms
mane. It felt like hours had gone by. She had blocked out all the sounds going
around her until Storm’s tense neck was finally at ease, she looked at storms
delicate face laying in the straw motionlessly. “Thank you John” said her father’s
voice “No problem, I’m sorry about Storm she had a great second life here” Dr
Alfred’s footsteps slowly faded as he walked down the stable hall. “Is she really
gone?” Her parents didn't reply.
To be continued...
God! I hated but loved writing this part! I was crying throughout the whole thing! Sorry about what happened! :(

Numbat
Animal of the week...
Numbat
The numbat is an animal native to Australia. It originates from Western Australia. It is a small animal and despite it being a marsupial, it doesn't have a pouch.
#1- Numbats are omnivores which means they eat both meat (numbats eat insects) plants. They can also be classified as insectivores since most of their diet consists of insects, especially termites.
#2- Numbats don't need to drink water because of the amount of termites they consume can replace water.
#3- Unfortunately, numbats can only live up to around 5 years.
#4- Their tongues are long and sticky, perfect for getting in termite nests to eat small insects.
#5- Numbats are endangered from being killed by non-native animals such as foxes, they are small and defenseless making them an easy mean for a fox or cat.

Pet TAG- My furry friend-Luna
#1- What is your pet's name?
A- My cat's name is Luna, we called her that because when we went to Poland the year earlier to visit my family, my auntie had a cat called Lunia, and that cat was also black and white and she was so sweet and lovely.
#2- What kind of pet is it and what breed?
A- Luna is a cat and she is a domestic shot hair (we adopted her from the shelter).
#3- How long have you had your pet for?
A- We got her around a 6 months after my cat (Meg) had to be put down. So we have had her for almost 2 years!
#4- How did you get your pet?
A- As I already said, we got her sometime after my other cat died at an adoption shelter where we get all our animals from.
#5- How old is your pet?
A- Luna is turning two in October, so she is now about 1 year and 6 months old.
#6- What are some quirky things about your pet's personality?
A- Luna is really gentle and friendly, she has never bit or scratched me on purpose and she also doesn't like to go outside by herself.
#7- What does the relationship with your pet mean to you?
A- All of my pets are the greatest things on Earth to me! I prefer animals then people, animals are always there for you and they are sweet- There is no such thing as a bad animal, just a bad person!
#8- What are some favorite past times with your pet?
A- I haven't known her for that long but she can be really funny sometimes. I love it how when she sits on your lap, she won't move even if you move unlike my other cat.
#9- What are nicknames that you call your pet?
A- There are so many! Bubby, Kicia (cat in Polish), sausage, fluffy etc.

Story- Part 2!
Jinny tacked up Storm and brushed
her. Once Jinny was on her mount, they rode together down the gravel drive way
to her favourite trail. When the pair were on the other side of their front
gate they turned right. The road would
eventually split into two narrow trails. Once they got to that part, they again
turned right. This was Jinny’s favourite trail. It was the true Australian
bush. Eucalyptus trees spread for hundreds of meters, some even had Koalas in
them. At some point the trail widened enough to let the horse and rider canter.
They had to slow to a walk when the road became narrow again, this time there
were not as many trees, most of them had been burnt from last year’s fires and
Jinny was starting to feel the hot sun on her skin. Today’s gonna be hot Jinny thought to herself. Finally they arrived
at a beach where they started cantering again. And before they knew it, they
were again back on the bush trail, but now going back on the trail to go home.
Once they passed the wide stretch of land were they cantered, disaster struck.
They were peacefully walking until a snake slithered past, Storm freaked out
and her nostrils flared and started breathing heavily. Jinny was scared too and
was trying to calm storm down but she started to buck, knocking Jinny right out
of her seat and making her fall hard on the ground. While Storm was still
bucking she stepped on the snake, in defence, it bit Storm below the knee and
slithered away barely injured. Jinny was left lying in on the hard dusty
ground, clutching her arm in pain. She couldn’t lye there forever, her horse
got bitten by a snake. That sentence motivated her more and more to get up and
forget about the pain to go tend her horse. Storm was panting. Jinny ripped of
her jacket and wrapped it up tightly around the bite marks which were oozing
blood. They weren’t far from home but what Jinny knew about snake bites was
that you couldn’t move much or the venom would spread faster. Jinny slowly led
Storm through the trail until their home could be seen.
I hope you enjoyed this story, as always please don't take it as it is mine :) Next Thursday will be part 3!
P.S-In Australia holidays will be coming, tomorrow is the last day before holidays, so I have two weeks of freedom, holidays also mean I will be doing regular updates of both my blogs because I will be spending more time at home!

Wednesday- Animal of the week!.....Horse
Horse!
Everybody has heard of a horse, they can range in sizes from 80 200 cm tall and even taller (or smaller) in so many different arrays of colours. Some of my favorites are dun, dapple grey, black, chestnut, bay and blue roan :) Horses can be used in many different styles and events like English and Western. In English, it is more formal and you would have events like dressage, cross country and show jumping, while in Western, you would have events like reining, barrel racing and cutting.1#- horses can live up to their late 30's
2#- horses can sleep both lying down and standing up.
3#- if cut (lawnmower) grass is fed to a horse, it can be fatal
4# there are 3 'genders' of horses! Male and female and a castrated male is called a gelding.
5#- there are over 250 breeds of horses.

Tuesday- Update on animals!
Yesterday, Lilly had an 'egg' incident! What???!!!
At least once a week, I give Lilly an egg yolk in a little jar lid so it's easy to clean, and eat from. Yesterday, Lilly was eating her egg when I came to let her out of her cage. I gave her five minutes to finish eating when I found her in her sleeping compartment where she was licking her self. That was rather unusual because when I open her door, she will run to it! But she just continued cleaning her self. Sometime later, I let her out and while I was doing some homework on my laptop, I picked her up and one side of her body was sticky and wet. All of her tail and one of her back legs were a yucky yellowy-brown colour. I thought she had pooped herself until I realized it was egg! So quickly, I took her to the bath and I had to wash her with soap to get rid of the egg and then came the bedding, I had to wash that too. But the outcome of that event was a new bedding and a fresh, clean ferret!
See you guys tomorrow, don't forget to follow me and comment what you would like me to write about next! :)
Oh, and, happy April fools!

Thursday- story time!!!!! lol :)
Part 1
Jinny went
outside on her front porch early in the morning. The sun was slowly peeking up
from behind the horizon making the sky a beautiful pink colour, the sky was
almost cloudless, with small fluffy clouds scattered here and there. Cicadas
chirped quietly, but loud enough to make Jinny feel peaceful, she loved the
sound of their chirps. Magpies sung continuously making the morning more
perfect and peaceful. A swarm of at least twenty Cockatoos flew overhead making
their loud screeching noises as they went. One thing Jinny loved to do was to
get up on early summer mornings and to admire the beautiful Australian outback.
Although Jinny didn't really live in the outback she liked to call it that even
though she lived in the country about ten minutes away from the nearest town
with shops and restaurants. But anyway she knew that she belonged in the
country, not anywhere else. Their house overlooked their biggest field, where
all the cows lived, all 76 of them including the latest calves. And weaving
between paddocks, barns and stables was their long gravel driveway. Behind the
house was the second biggest field containing horses. Jinny owned three horses.
She had one horse to ride English and the other two for western pleasure,
events and mustering cattle. One of Jinnys western horses was a Palomino
Quarter Horse gelding named Luna and the other one is called Storm, her first
horse- a rescue horse. Storm is an Australian Stock Horse with a dark bay
colour and not to forget Jinnys English horse, a chestnut Thoroughbred called
Pondie. She stepped off the porch and onto the dew covered grass. Making her
way to the stables, where three of her horses were living, she admired the way
the horses greeted her in the morning when she was walking down the trail. They
would lift their heads up from grazing and walk over to Jinny or even nicker at
her. Once she arrived at the stable, she got out the keys and unlocked the huge
wooden doors. The first step inside the stable was always the best, a whiff of
horse smell and horse manure went up Jinnys nose. It would be pitch black in
the stables if it wasn't for the small windows in each stall spilling out rays
of light. A few weeks ago, the automatic sensor lights went out and since then
it had always been dark. Jinny reached for the light switch and turned on the
weak lights hanging from the room but even if they weren't that strong -to
Jinnys relief- they made the stable heaps lighter. As she walked through the
stable aisle, all the horses in their stalls walked up to the door and stuck
their heads out of the box. Jinny greeted them all as she went until she
reached Storm’s stall. She was going to ride her today. Jinny grabbed Storm’s
halter that was attached to the stall door, caught her and led her to the tying
up area outside of each stall.

Wednesday- Animal of the week!
Alpaca
Alpaca's are usually mistaken for llamas or vise versa. Even though alpacas and llamas are in the same family, they have many physical differences. The alpaca is smaller then the llama and their ears are more pointy and small. Another feature that alpacas have are that their backs are more rounded then the llamas. Alpaca fur is soft and fine like llama wool. The wool is hypoallergenic and not itchy like some sheep wool. Alpaca and llama wool does not have any oils like lanolin that sometimes cause itching.
<--alpaca
1#-Alpacas first originated from Peru but now you can get them from almost anywhere
2#- Alpacas can 'spit' but they don't do it often spit at humans but more toward other alpacas.
3#- Alpacas have a 'dung pile' in their heard where they do not graze.
4#- Alpacas have a three-chambered-stomach which means they are pseudoruminants.
5#- A heard of alpacas consists of an alpha male, females and their cria (baby alpaca)

Monday Random Fluffiness!
Today is just a random post I'm going to make so it may be rather short. If you have come from my other blog, I am just repeating the same thing because nothing much has happened in the past week! But don't worry more good things are going to come here. Check out the schedule I made a few days ago to see what things I'm going to post in the future. So I have had an extremely horsey two days. on Saturday I went to ride as usual for about a hour and then on Sunday I went to rider's club as for every monthly Sunday. So I was with horses from 8-2 so that was a pretty bust day. I was hoping to go to Horseland to get new boots or gaiters for the competition that was going on the next day but I never ended up going :( But anyway, today (Monday) I went to the competition, the events were SUPER late. My first event was supposed to be at 10 but it ended up being at 11 so it wan't very organised. I went well, but I got eliminated for crossing tracks (whoops) in showjumping. The rest of the events went great as well, I don't thing I'll place in the top five for any of then as I didn't ride on a horse that I was as comfortable with, but it was supposed to be fun and it was great fun so I can't complain, Sorry that this post was late, I almost forgot to post it but here it is!
Check out my other blog for more horsey stuff- http://hrhorseblog.blogspot.com.au/

Story time!!! A Business of Ferrets- full part.
This morning, the Nation of Ferrets
had woken up to more disturbing news. The local bakery was broken into and all
the freshly baked goods were stolen. Mrs Cinnamon, owner of the bakery, was
devastated. If you saw this happen, please call…’
Mr Weasel,
put down the newspaper. ‘What’s on the front page today?’ asked Lilly Weasel.
‘Another robbery’ Lilly sighed. ‘Again?’ Lilly picked up her school bag and
grabbed her lunch from the kitchen counter. She looked at the combination of
food. Chicken, tuna, avocado and a container of water. ‘Share some with Rosie’
Mrs Weasel told Lilly. Lilly nodded and left. Rosie, Lilly’s friend recently
got robbed along with her whole street and almost everything was gone.
To get to
school, Lilly had to go through a forest. This time when she was going through,
it felt as if someone was staring at her. Crack!
A stick broke, Lilly looked under her feet to find nothing but gravel. She
quickly scanned the area for anything moving, but there was nothing but the
treetops swaying in the light breeze. Lilly started to run. When she was
beginning to veer left at a split road, but when she did she saw a shadow in
the midst of the trees and without hesitation she began to run even faster.
Lilly had
left the school when it was dark. She had to do a test she had missed.
When Lilly
got to the village past the forest, she saw five slender figures in front of
one of the houses. They appeared to be talking to each other. Lilly hid behind
a tree to see what was happening without being seen. They were ferrets, Lilly
could see that there were also two bulky badgers! A loud crash stopped her
thinking and before she knew it the two badgers were inside.
Mrs Weasel,
inhaled out of shock. ‘We have to tell the police!’ Mr Weasel said while
dialling the number in the newspaper.
After the
police left the Weasels den, Lilly flopped down on the couch, ready to fall
asleep.
In the
morning she was unusually woken up early. ‘We are going to the town hall’ Mrs
Weasel said. ‘Why?’ Lilly droned, her eyes were still adjusting to the light.
‘Wait and see’
Lilly found
herself standing red faced on a stage in front of hundreds of citizens holding
a certificate. Ferret of the year it read. She won the
award for finding the guilty ferrets robbing the city. Thankfully most the
items were retrieved before they were sold. ‘These ferrets, and badgers are
guilty for stealing, and using stolen items to attempt to start their own
business. They are all sentenced for five years jail!’ said the judge. The
meeting ended with that.
When Lilly
went to school the next day she got praised by teachers and class mates, she
had never felt so happy or so embarrassed but she accepted the comments anyway
as she had saved the city from more robberies.

Animal of the Week!
It's Wednesday today which means it's Animal of the Week! Each week an animal will be chosen and a little information , care tips and facts will be included in the post.
Ferret!
Ferrets are beautiful creatures, they may be underestimated because people might think that they bite, they can, in fact all animals can bite and as always you can train your ferret to not bite. When they are trained not to bite they can and will still nip, my ferret only nips when she is happy and when she licks people (lick, lick, bite!) Another thing people have heard about ferrets is that they smell. I agree but I find the smell rather pleasant. They can get kind of a musky smell that people don't like but as always you can get them de-sexed and wash them once a month maximum. I say only once a month because they have natural oils on their skin which gives them their musky scent, actual after a wash, the oils give them a stronger scent because when washed, the oils come off and them in the next few days when the oil is coming back the ferret will smell stronger.
Ferrets don't really have a specific breed but they do come in many colours like sable, albino, cinnamon, panda, blaze and black eyed white. Something you have to know when owning ferrets is that they can't stand temperatures in the high twenties so be careful if you like somewhere with warm climates like Australia (where I live) I usually just stick in a frozen bottle of water into Lilly's 'sleeping compartment' and give her fresh water once a day.
Now to the fun facts!
#1- ferrets can live up to 10 years!
#2- baby ferrets are called kits <3
#3- ferrets sleep up to 15 hours a day!
#4- a group of ferrets is called a business
#5- The male ferret is called a hob and the female ferret is called a jill.
I hope you enjoyed the first post of the 'scheduled' week and don't forget tomorrow my short story is coming out! Please check out my plan for the future weeks (previous post) and you are more then welcome to stay. Please comment what you want to see next whether it's another TAG, challenge or the next animal I should do for Animal of the Week!

Pet Tag!- My Furry Friend!
Lilly-
1) What is your pets name?
My pet's name is Lilly! I remember getting her and worrying that I wouldn't come up with a name for her :)
2) What kind of pet is it and what breed?
Lilly is a ferret, I don't think ferrets have breeds but she is a sable ferret (black and white) :)
3) How long have you had your pet friend?
This year I will have her for five years! Wow, that was quick!
4) How did you get your pet?
It was for my birthday, I wanted a hamster but they don't sell them in Australia but as a joke my dad said a ferret and from then, I didn't let it go. I got Lilly from a breeder because no shelters or RSPCA's had ferrets.
5) What are some quirky things about your pets personality?
She likes to bite feet, especially my mums but that's more annoying then quirky...Lilly has a thing for pencils, I'm sure all ferrets do but Lilly has a nest full of pencils!
6) What does your relationship with your pet mean to you?
Sisters?Mother?Friend?BFF?Daughter? She is all of them combined! Well, all of my animals are :)
7) What are some of your favorite past times with your pet?
When I got her, she was still a 7 week old kit and she used to fall asleep anywhere:)
8) What are the nick-names you call your pet?
I'm like the queen of nicknames for my animals. If I had to list every one of them there wouldn't be enough space, anyway here I go! Flilly, Sausage, Sausage Roll, Potato, Billy, Muffin, Lilly Filly, fluffy angel etc
9) How old is your pet?
Lilly is 5 years old! Ahhhhhhh!
Luna- (the same questions)
1) What is your pets name?
Luna:)
2) What kind of pet is it and what breed?
Luna is a cat and she is a domestic short hair who is black and white.
3) How long have you had your pet friend?
For 1 year. I got her at the start of 2013.
4) How did you get your pet?
At the shelter. We got her because my old cat Meg, died from cancer :(
5) What are some quirky things about your pets personality?
She doesn't like strangers.
6) What does your relationship with your pet mean to you?
Once again- Mother, Daughter, Sister, Friend, BFF, all combined :)
7) What are some of your favorite past times with your pet?
She would head-butt you all the time, now she doesn't do it much.
8) What are the nick-names you call your pet?
like with Lilly, she has a lot of nicknames, some of them Lilly has too like- Kicia (cat in polish), Sausage, Sausage roll, Fluffy Angel, etc
9) How old is your pet?
Luna is turning two this year in October!
I hope you enjoyed this tag, there might be a 'bonus jonas' tag coming today too!

Luna Lately
Luna is my black and white cat who is turning two years old in October, it's still a long way away but really? Two years old already?! When I got Luna, she was a happy, playful kitten and very comfortable around me and other humans, now everything was sunshine and lollipops until my house got robbed. Luna is still comfortable around my family and I but when a guest comes over, or even if someone walks by the house, she freaks out, she will hide under the bed for hours unless she knows the guest has left. I only have one explanation of why she has turned so 'anti-social' I think it was the thief that frightened or hurt her leaving her to not trust any strange human being! I hope that she doesn't stay this way for the rest of her life, that would be tragic! :)
See you guys tomorrow on my 'animaly' posts,
Stay Fluffy

Lilly Lately
Hearing a kerfuffle in one of my rooms, I enter and find my ferret, Lilly chewing on a balloon! Now, I have a few questions to ask, where did the balloon come from? How did Lilly get it? and what was worse was it was only one little part of the balloon. More questions swarmed in my head, what if Lilly ate some? As most ferret owners know, ferrets have craving for rubber, anything rubber! If it's erasers, pencil grips or in my case, balloons. Unfortunately ferrets can die (and other animals) from consuming rubber and so for the past hour or so, every two minutes I would check on her to see if she had anything in her throat, but no, nothing was endangering her life thank goodness! She probably didn't swallow any which is a big relief and only two words can describe my behavior- motherly instincts! See you guys tomorrow, stay tuned if you likes this story, there are many more to come both fiction and non fiction so see you tomorrow!
